This is a picture of the Delta Zeta sorority on Bid Nite, fall 2002.
During the Fall Semester of 2002...
the Kappa Xi Chapter of Delta Zeta Sorority was given the privilege to invite
five new members to join our sorority. Here is a picture of the sorority with
our five new baby turtles on bid night in the ballroom.
During our "New Member Period"...
the girls get to participate in various activities. These activities include a
Bid Night Party held to honor the new members, Big/Little Night, a Mid-Pledge
Formal, Sisterhood Retreats, and last but not least, Initiation into the Delta
Zeta Sorority.
Sisterhood Retreats...
are held during each semester to unite the sisters with the new members. Past
Sisterhood Retreats include a Halloween scavenger hunt, a makeover with Mary Kay
and a Spring Break trip to Cancun. This new member period helps the girls to build
lifelong friendships with members of their pledge class as well as with the sisters
of the sorority.
